What is a Vertical Discharge Cowl?
A Vertical Discharge Cowl is installed at the end of an exhaust duct or stack to direct extracted air upwards rather than horizontally.
Often referred to as a Jet Cap, this type of exhaust cowl is commonly used on industrial extraction and ventilation systems where a vertical discharge is required.
Its design allows air to discharge through the top of the cowl during operation while helping reduce rain and weather entering the ductwork when the system is not operating.
