Joineries & Cabinet Makers
Dust extraction for joineries and cabinet making workshops
Wood dust building up around your machines or drifting through your workshop? Airtight Solutions helps joineries and cabinet makers capture dust at the source and keep extraction systems performing as their operations change.
From the first workshop assessment to system design, installation, commissioning, servicing and spare parts, we provide one point of contact for your dust extraction needs.
T-Series
For processing: Timber, machining engineered boards, manufacturing plastic components, handling powdered chemicals, or operating sanding equipment.
Exceptional filtration efficiency for timber, MDF, particleboard, paper products and other dry bulk materials. Suitable for medium and large-scale operations, with airflow capacities from approximately 12,000 m³/hr to more than 500,000 m³/hr.
Available in two standard configurations, the CDS Series dust collector is designed specifically to meet Australian Standards for ST1/ST2 combustible dust, offering affordable compliance.
Dust control designed around the way you work
A joinery workshop can generate dust from CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, sanders, thicknessers and hand tools. The material matters too: solid timber, hardwood, softwood, MDF, particleboard and other engineered boards can create different dust and exposure concerns.
An effective system needs to account for what you process, where dust is generated, which machines run together, and how the workshop is laid out. Airtight can assess existing extraction or plan a new system around your machinery, airflow requirements, ducting, filtration and waste handling.
What dust does your workshop generate?
Hard & Softwood
Fine airborne wood dust as well as larger chips and shavings
MDF & Particleboard
Fine dust from machining engineered wood products; assess any other relevant airborne contaminants
CNC Routing
High dust and chip volumes, machine connections and simultaneous use
Workshop
Clean-Up
Safe collection of settled dust without dispersing it back into the air
Panel Sawing
High dust and chip volumes, machine connections and simultaneous use
Sanding & Finishing
Fine dust that may escape into the wider workshop
Unsure what your current system is capturing? We can review the machines, materials and dust sources in your workshop and recommend practical next steps.
Prepare for the new Workplace Exposure Limits
Australia’s Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs) take effect on 1 December 2026. Until then, the existing Workplace Exposure Standards continue to apply. Workshop operators should identify the airborne contaminants their processes generate, review the applicable limits and assess whether their controls are effective.
Dust extraction is an important control, but installing a collector alone does not demonstrate compliance. Airtight can help assess and improve extraction performance; determining worker exposure against an applicable limit may also require appropriate occupational hygiene monitoring.
One partner for every stage of dust extraction

Without doubt, Airtight Solutions are the first choice of many of Australia and New Zealand’s cabinet makers and joinery shops for their dust control requirements.
Our purpose-built products and systems offer unsurpassed performance and value for money in this demanding and specific industry.
Regular users of our equipment read like a who’s-who in this industry and we can offer tried and tested solutions to all cabinet makers and joiners shops.
From basic indoor units through to large outdoor plant with bin or silo storage, we can offer all options to best suit your requirements. Our unitary dust collector range allow easy extension, so that as your business grows, so can our dust control system!
Most dust collectors and ducting requirements are available on either ex-stock or short delivery lead times and we offer a complete dust control solution package from initial concept visit through to post-installation commissioning. We complement our dust collectors with a ducting system from our QF range and some of the best flexible ducting available to the industry, including our specialist CNC hose.
Additionally, we can offer on-going service and spares and a preventative maintenance programme to ensure minimum valuable down-time.
Our engineers are expert in extended design capability to help advise on the best solution to minimise power requirements and handle waste disposal.
Our scope of supply does not end with the dust extraction system, we can also offer high quality European-built shredders and briquetters to complete the waste handling requirements for every workshop.
We also offer a trouble shooting and auditing service for existing plant and we would be pleased to offer our services for scheduled dust control plant maintenance and servicing.
