Description
Butterfly Damper
A Butterfly Damper is designed to regulate the volume of air passing through industrial ductwork, providing a simple way to adjust airflow within dust extraction, fume extraction and process ventilation systems.
Installed directly within the duct run, the damper uses an adjustable internal blade to control the opening through which air can pass. This allows airflow to be balanced or restricted to suit the requirements of different parts of the extraction system.
Control Airflow Through Your Ducting
Airflow requirements can vary throughout an industrial extraction system depending on the equipment being served, ducting layout and location of individual extraction points.
A butterfly-style damper provides manual airflow adjustment at a specific point in the ductwork. By changing the position of the internal blade, the amount of air passing through that section can be regulated.
Once the required position has been selected, the lockable quadrant allows the blade setting to be maintained.
